Yarmouk University

Yarmouk University was established in 1976 by a royal decree, and since then its significance has been grown up and increased to become one of the most prestigious universities not only for the country but for the entire region. Yarmouk University is the first institution of higher education and it is well-known for its innovative approaches in institutions’ management, human resources development and the pursuit of excellence in research and teaching in various areas as Arts’ studies and Social Sciences as well.

Yarmouk University is one of the academic institutions that are funded by the government. It enjoys a large degree of autonomy and managed by a Board of Trustees members, who are appointed by a royal decree.

The faculty members at the university are dedicated experts in the areas of their specialisations. In addition, the University students are not only limited to Jordanians; rather, there is a quite number of different students coming from different Arab country and around the world as well; therefore, giving the university a unique diversity feature.
